Loading master data with time-dependant attributes into BPC 10 Dimension

Hello everybody,

I want to load the master data Profit Center into BPC dimension (BPC 10).

This master data has some attributes which are time-dependent.

For some needs, i want to have this attributes for all periods in BPC dimension.

How can i manage this?

Kindly let me know steps ,scenario and documents related this.

Hi Oussama,

As far as I know, you can not have time dependent attribute in BPC. BPC supports time dependent hierarchy.

Hi Vadim,

Thank you for your reply.

My need is to create interfaces of restatements for accounting entries for previous years. Ex: neutralization of an accounting entry, account classification, ...).

For example, to make a restatement of a profit center CP1 between 01.2015 and 12.2015, the user needs to know values of certain time-dependent attributes for this time period. These values are not necessarily equal to that of today.

I want this data like in BW:

Profit center Month/Year Attribut1 (TD) Attribut2 (TD)

CP1 01.2015 A1 B1

CP1 02.2015 A2 B2

*TD: Time_dependent.

Still not clear how you will use this info in BPC...

Have you read about time dependent hierarchies in BPC models?

When you refer to "attributes" do you mean "Properties"

Within BPC dimension master data has both Properties and Hierarchies

As Vadim states, Hierarchies can be made Time Dependant.

There are numerous other articles and blogs on how to set this up.
