Enhancing CDS View with a field from Custom Business Object - S4 cloud

Hi, I am new to s/4 HANA cloud system., I would like to know possibility of enhancing a standard cds view model for analytics scenario.

I got some external data from legacy ERP system, which is to be combined in S/4 HANA cloud. So I am planning to get legacy data as flat file into Custom Business object in S/4 cloud., now I wanted to combine this flat file data with s/4 hana data.

Then I am planning to create a custom cds view in key user extension tools, is there a possibility to create an association to custom business object? I think, I can only use standard cds views in this tool.

So what options I will have to fulfill this requirement?

Hi sreekanth.s3,

When you add an associated data source, you will be able to find your CBO in the list. Make sure the CBO has service generation flag checked and also, both the CDS view and CBO has common key fields so that association can be set up.

Thanks Rohit, I did not know that CBO can be used as datasource in the association., thank you, I will do that.

Hello. Can you make a step by step guide, how to associate CBO nad CDS? I'm facing Adding a Value Help with the Custom CDS and I don't kow how to make it. Thank you.
