MRP area, SL type (02) giving Error

Hi All,

We are in ECC 6.0.

I am trying to create new MRP area, with MRP type 02 (Storage Location.).

System is not allowing me to assign Storage location, stating SL is already used by different plant.

But, my problem is i am setting up MRP area in completely different Plant.

Replication of our scenario

PURCHASE ORG - X123

- Plant V100

- SL 0100

- SL 0201

- SL 0301

- Plant V800

- SL 0100

- SL 0201

MRP area already created for Plant V100, SL 0201 &

Now i am facing the error when i am trying to create MRP area for Plant V800 & SL 0201.

Below is the Error message that i am getting.

Error in Customizing. Storage location 0201 used by MRP area V100MI

Message no. MD06117

Diagnosis

Storage location 0201 has already been assigned to MRP area V100MI.

Procedure

Choose either another storage location for the new MRP area or delete storage location 0201 on the storage location view of MRP area V810MI.

Check if SL 0201 at Plant V800 has been assigned to an MRP area. Please be confident that Storage location MRP area at plant V100 has nothing to do with plant V800.

SL 0201 & Plant V800 combination exist in another MRP area.
