Hi, refer to SAP KBA:3021489 - Message SY530 "An exception was raised" occurs when creating purchase orders.

The possible cause could be:

-Missing currency conversions.

When different currencies are used in workflow conditions, the document currency would be converted to each currency maintained in workflow condition. So this error is due to missing exchange rates in the system on specified document date.

- None default workflow is activated: If you have activate the Flexible Workflow for document type for Purchase Orders you must activate at least the Automatic Release of Purchase Order workflow scenario.

Resolution:

-Please maintain the missing exchange rates and make sure that they are valid on the document date. Then retry creating the Purchase Order.

-Activate at least the default Workflow for Automatic Release, then retry creating the Purchase Order.

Thank You very much for the quick reply. I am using currency SAR in PO and PO workflow condition as well. there is no difference in currency. Still do i need to maintain currency exchange rate in OB08 transaction.

If i deactivate the flexible workfolw then it PO do not have any issue. We need the flexible workflow to be implemented for the client.

Is there any other way to fix this except currency.

Please maintain in test system and check your scenarios. If not works then debug this issue with ABAP Consultant.

remove SAP S/4HANA Cloud tag due to the version is S/4HANA system 2023 FPS
