Budget exceeded while there is still budget available

Hi all,

Can you please advise if you have an idea on the below issue :

for some internal order in sap we have created PR and PO without any issue, but when we want to miro post invoices related to thoses PO's, we have an error of budget exceeding whilst the amount to post is already in the committement

You have provided insufficient information for a correct answer to your problem. I'll try to guess.

The PO delivery date was in 2022 and commitments were made in 2022 where there is enough budget. Now you want to post an invoice in 2023 which will cancel the commitments in 2022 and will create actual costs in 2023. You need to add the budget in 2023 or transfer the budget (KOCO for CO orders).

Hi,

If you post the invoice in a different year, and your budget is not overall, but year-based, you might experience this error. Contrary to what has been put in another answer, you don't have to add budget (as it would mean double budgeting the same operation), but carry-forward your commitments.
