Exceeded budget Error even there's really enough budget in Project System

Dear Friends,

In the project systems, The user is getting Exceeded budget Error even there's really enough budget.

We suggest the user to execute Transaction code CJEN and CJBV to resolve the issue .

Is there any permanent solution for this ?

Please suggest in detail

Budget can be spread out over time and down the project hierarchy. Check the allocated budget in the correct time slot and hierarchy.

Dear Sridhar,

I would say that the method you are suggesting should be the last option and not the first option.

I'd rather start with the Availability Control Analysis report that is listing line items and its relevance for the assigned value. Most of time this is rather a misinterpretation by the business user or a kind of training gap. For example, Remaining order plan (ROP) is a budget relevant figure that most of users would ignore. It can be some "forgotten" PR, it can be no budget carry-forward from last year and so on...

Hi Sridhar,

If system is throwing an error that means Availability Control is active.

Before executing transaction CJBN Check your budget profile (T code - OPS9).

Please check whether you have ticked

1. "Total values" in the Timeframe block
2. "Annual values" in the Timeframe block
3. All four fields in the "Availability Control" block

Please check your tolerance limit of the budget profile. Based on this, budget functionality will work in project

Check your tolerance limit SPRO --> PS --> COSTS --> Budget --> Tolerance limit.

Change Transaction group (01 or ++) change the usage to 100%.

If all this is OK you can execute transaction CJBN in order to repair availability budget...

Just try to deactivate availability control, refresh project data base and activate the availability control.

1. Deactivate availability control: (T code - CJBW).

2. Refresh data base: (T code - CJEN).

3. Activate availability control: (T code - CJBV).
