Customization of ME51N

Hello.

I want to customize few fields in Purchase Requisition (ME51N Screen). How to do it? I know that I got to do it in F.Sel under Purchase Requsition node in SPRO transation. My problem is I'm not able to find the fields (Say Tracking No) under F.Sel group. How to pick them?

go to path material management-purchasing-purchase requisition-define screen layout at doc.level

Hi,

Go to- SPRO- IMG- MM- PURCHASING - PR- Define screen layout at doc level-ME51N- select ME51N and go to details - select "Reference data, item" .

Hey I knew that, but my concern is how to pick a field from screen ME51N ( say Tracking No) and I mean under which particular F.Sel group ( say Reference Data, item) I can find.

Is there some logic behind this?

Hi Sumeeth,

The F. Sel group comes under the F. Sel Key. The F. Sel Key is linked with the document type. So, depending upon your document type of PR, you can see the F. Sel Key to be customised. Then you select that F. Sel Key and under that you need to check your F. Sel Group. Field Selection Groups are created by grouping fields having common interest/property/use. There is no logic I think.

When you go to the SPRO node SPRO- IMG- MM- PURCHASING - PR- Define screen layout at doc level : select the transaction me51n or me52n depending one where you want to change it ... then select the field group 'Reference data, item' there you will see the field 'Requirement tracking number'.

1,IMG Display screen layout at Document Level

2, Choose ME51N double click

3, Then choose the fields you want change by double clicking each Selction group

Dear Sumeeth

First Check the document type you are using and the field selection assigned to it. If for example it is NBB field selection (as ahown in below fig.)

Then select same in screen layout and view

you can find (ex. Tracking no.) here

All are maintained in Table T162, you can view the same in SE11 too.
