Hi Mahesh,

You may see this fields in the Item details of the delivery item under the Picking tab.

Gross weight would be calculated by multiplying the delivery quantity by the gross weight per unit field from the material master (You may find the gross weight field under Dimensions/EANs in the Basic data tab)

Same for Net weight. It is calculated by multiplying the delivery quantity by the Net weight per unit field from the material master.

Gross weight usually represents the net weight plus the weight of the packaging. It is determined by the Product data management team and updated accordingly.

Hope this makes sense..

regards,

Pls award points if useful

Gross Weight & Net Weight can be maintained in material master, which will default in Salaes order, based on material.

Gross weight will refer to weight after pachaging of material & Net weight will refer to the actual weight of the material. This may be required incase of delivery.

In Sales order, you can check these fields at item level on Shipping Tab Page.

Regards,

Rajesh Banka

Hi Mahesh

In Basic Data 1, we will maintain these details.

Net weight is the exact weight per piece of the material and gross weight is net weight plus weight of the packing material.

To give you an example, supposing I am selling product A and its net weight is 2kgs. For packing this material, we need a carton box which weighs 500 gms.

Let us assume 10 pieces of Product A will accommodate in one carton box. Now the gross weight would be total pieces in one box multiplied by weight per piece and add the box weight. This means 10 x 2 + 0.5 = 20.50 kgs and gross weight per piece would be 2.05 kgs

Thanks

G.
