Consolidating W-2's from 2 companies under one FEIN

Hello,

Our parent company has combined two of its sectors into one, under one sector's FEIN. Employees from the previous sector are transferring to the sector which already had the FEIN, and payroll has been run on them before their earnings could be transferred from a non-SAP system into our SAP system. How can we now combine their previous earnings/taxes with our's so that they only receive one W-2? Thank you.

Hello,

You can achieve this by using the Reporting tax company, review the feature UTXRP(Reporting Tax company) documentation. Also review the User Guide for Tax reporter which is available in "service.sap.com/hrusa" for detail information on configuring.

Thanks for replying. Our problem is that the other company's historical employee data has not been merged with our's in our SAP system, and payroll has already been run on them since they were transferred into our system. We're running parallel with the other sector's system (non-SAP), as employees are transferring back and forth. We need to bring in their historical data without paying them or posting to FI - only reporting historical data for tax purposes. Any ideas?
