Thanks for pointing this out! The update download is coming directly from an S3 bucket, so the download speed shouldn't be this slow. We'll look into the issue!

🟠 CAP console

CAP console is a native application designed to make deploying and monitoring CAP applications on the BTP as smooth as your morning coffee. Built with the grow-as-you-go philosophy of CAP in mind, CAP console simplifies the initial deployment process and offers powerful monitoring features all from a locally running app. This approach allows CAP developers to focus on their problem domains instead of wrestling with infrastructure.

For monitoring features, we draw inspiration from the CAP Developer Dashboard as well as integrating elements from OpenLens. Our goal is to create a tool that developers, including ourselves, would truly enjoy using.

SPEAKERS: Vincent Gottschling, Timon Gaebelein

Devtoberfest validation tutorial for the CAP track, Week 4

https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/devtoberfest2025-cap-week4-session-validation.html

Unfortunately CAP Console will be neither part of BAS nor a BTP service in the foreseeable future. We aimed to make CAP Console the starting point for the initial deployment, therefore we avoided any setup requirements on the BTP and went for a native application instead. Also we need access to the running processes and the local file system, so BAS also wasn't a viable option.

Exciting! But how can any download from SAP be so slow? It is not my connection's issue. I experienced it many times: many software or videos from SAP websites take forever to download. Current speed 500 Mb/s downlaod, speed of downloading the immediate update: 22 KB/s. I tried the speedtest to Frankfurt: 200 MB/s. Where does it get the update from?
