Hi Subhankar,

if it is not a prerequisite to use SUM (some packages may have the restriction in the extended attributes) then you can do it using SPAM transaction. But you also have to consider the required packages which need to be implemented as well.

An example:
You would like to implement SAPKB74017. This package also requires SAPKB74016, SAPK-74017INSAPGWFND and SAPK-74018INSAPUI. Often also these packages have requirements which also have to be fulfilled. So you see that it is not that simple to just quickly install a package or two.

I would always recommend to implement support package stacks to be on the safe side.
