Hi,

We are in-process of re-naming the SID of SAP single stack system using SWPM1.0 & have completed the pre-rquisites as described in the Guide, but during the EXECUTION phase the Target oracle directory (/oracle/PMR) get filled and the execution stops with error "No enough Space on file system" we have just added addition 20gb of space. Just wondering how much space is required? Total size of Source DB is around 3.4tb

Once we cpmplete the procedure in the sandbox need to update PRD.

Source SID : PMZ

Target SID : PMR

File system getting filles /oracle/PMZ

Hi Moid.

I am not sure, It required minimum 20 to 30% of overall DB space. Normally when we are doing system export it required minimum 20%.

Regards

SS

Hi Moid,

I don't see any space requirement as such under System Rename guide: https://help.sap.com/viewer/666e73444beb4f1582ec605e3ea95aaa/CURRENT_VERSION/en-US/7563bd7bbb4f49258c316f49597e40e7.html

I suppose you're following above guide or likewise depending on your SAP/OS release/flavour. The idea is to just reuse existing filesystem/databse and just rename them and not create any additional data.

It would depend what all mountpoints you've got under /oracle/<DBSID>. As you've mentionted the source <DBSID> mountpoint under /oracle gets full and that may be due to archive logs beneath if that's not a separate mountpoint.

I hope above helps or at least give you a hint to lookl in right direction.

Best Regards,
Kashyap Shah
