SUM Start issue

Hello experts,

Please i have issue starting SUM, after i extract the SUM20SP10 file then i change directory where the location where the SAPCAR is and try to start SUM with this command ./SUMSTART it will be one position forever as shown on the screen shot below. Please i need help on this point.

Hi Kanayochukwu,

please read the SUM documentation carefully, especially chapter 6 (Running the Software Update Manager).

The SUM has to be registered to the Host Agent. This can be done via "SUMSTART confighostagent". Afterwards you open the webbrowser.

please go to https://support.sap.com/en/tools/software-logistics-tools.html > System Maintenance Scenarios > Software Update/Upgrade using SUM > Software Update/Upgrade with SUM 2.0 SP 10 > Guides for SUM 2.0 SP 10. Then you choose the guide for your specific platform.
