Merge Account Flow based on customer attribute

I want to know the possibility of of making this scenario work for CDC:

1. User with email address is fully registered with xxx@xxx.com and has a billing account of 123

2. A NEW user registers with email yyy@yyy.com. The user then tries to link a billing account of 123 to their account.

Assuming billing accounts are unique to the user, can I have a flow where I merge these two accounts? So that xxx@xxx.com and yyy@yyy.com are part of the same profile with the billing account 123?

Any APIs that assist with this type of merge?

Hi Jon,

CDC account linking is achieved by linking of the account's login Identifier (Email Address).

So unless the billing account 123 is registered with an email address, and both users xxx and yyy have access to the same billing account 123.

Thanks Ibrahim, what if using a different login identifier than email? Such as a phone number or username?
