SAP Marketing Cloud and Emarsys

Hi folks

Did you join yesterdays SAP CX Live session?
When talking about marketing solutions, there was not even a side note about SAP Marketing Cloud. On the other hand, the Emarsys marketing automation solution got a lot of attention.

Is there any official statement about SAPs strategy regarding these two mulit-channel marketing automation solutions?

Hi Christian,

very good question that also customers are asking more and more frequently.

As per my knowledge, the last statement from SAP was that Emarsys has an absolute B2C focus on Commerce integration for specific industries. In addition to that it is very focused on "standard" and doesn't have a lot of customizing capabilities like we now from SAP systems. So, I'm also very interested in the strategy. I could imagine e.g. to put the "Commerce Marketing" capabilities into Emarsys and use MC for the B2B Lead Management focus or something like that. But any official statements regarding that topic would be great to know how to talk to (potential) customers.

obviously new solutions or acquisitions capture the marketing air coverage.
