File view limit in Library

is there a way that we can limit users in viewing a particular file in the Library?

Hi,

The access context of Library is 6-Marketing which means that the restricted read and write access for Library is based on the Marketing function of the org units.

The reason why you are unable to view any groups under Detailed Restrictions is because none of your org units are assigned to the function 'Marketing'. Kindly please do so by following he steps below:

1. Go to "Organization management" Work Center.

2. Select the "Org Structures" work center view.

3. Select the Org Unit.

4. Click on button "Edit".

5. Select the effective date.

6. Click on tab Functions.

7. Here you can see the fields "Marketing".

8. Select the check box for it and click on button save.

9. Now click on button Action -> Activate selected structure.

Once the activation is done, this org unit will be available as a restrictions to the Business Role.

Hence you need to re-assign the unrestricted access to the user for changes to take place.
