CRM 7.0 (BSP_WD_CMPWB) problems

Hi Experts,

We got newly CRM 7.0 version installed for development. I am facing some problems in CRM 7.0.

I want enhance the component with Z fields in CRM 7.0. I added Z fields with EEWB.

I want to write code for pick list in V method of the Z attribute. I tried to create V method for one of Z fields, it has generated V method structure successfully

But when I try to generate Getter and Setter methods itu2019s giving runtime error. (Exception condition "COMPONENT_NOT_EXISTING" raised)

Standard or default configuration or Custom configurations are also not showing Z fields when I click on u2018show Available Fieldsu2019 link. But those Z attributes are appearing in View Structureu2019s node. However these attributes are not generating methods.

I worked with CRM 2007 IDES. I dint faced this issue in CRM 2007 IDES; I have successfully created Z fields trough EEWB and added Z fields to Web UI trough Configuration. I was able to generate the all the methods in CRM 2007 IDES.

Can anybody please give solution about CRM 7.0 problems as I ma facing. Is there any settings or prerequisites has to done for CRM 7.0?

Or any thing I am missing please fulfill my concern.

I tried to search this issue in Forums but there is no remedy has provided as such.

Hi,

Looks like SAP hasn't fix their problem with half-baked BSP_WD_CMPWB. When I got that error in CRM 2007, I simply go into the context node and manually create the required methods i.e SET*** and GET*** etc

Off Corse. Itu2019s good that we can create methods manually.

Have you faced the issue like absent of z fields in configuration in CRM 2007 or CRM 7.0?

What can be the alternate way to overcome the absent of Z fields at Configuration in CRM 7.0.?

When I click on u2018show Available Fieldsu2019 link Z fields are not present in Standard or default configuration or Custom configurations.

Please put some light on this issue.

Have you tried to enhance application using AET?

I tried it some time bcak.

I got some issue. Can you please clear it?

I Chosen the Create New Field pushbutton on the Application Enhancement Tool starts.

Here I need to select object part. Here the dialog popup is showing Package as u201CBSP_DYN_CONFIG_EXTENSIONSu201D and Namespace as u201CZu201D

I want choose my own ZPackage here. But I couldnu2019t see any option to change it.

After filling the field details, when I press on the u201Csaves and generateu201D button I got below error

Diagnosis

Object AXTE ZEXT000001 is in the name range reserved for customers. The object cannot be assigned to package BSP_DYN_CONFIG_EXTENSIONS, since it belongs to a different name range or namespace.

System Response

Editing is terminated.

Procedure

Assign the object to a customer package whose name begins with Y or Z.

If you want to create the object as a test object, you can also assign it to a local package (1st character = $) or a test package (1st character = T).

Please help me in How can I choose my own z package while selecting object part.

Hi Sameera,

I also struck in similar kind of problem. After upgrading from CRM 6.0 to CRM 7.0, the fields which are added throguh EEWB are not available in the show available fields. These fields are available in a separate header "Show Enhancements" in the view configuration.

If you had encountered this kind of scenario, please help me in, how to get these fields into the view configuration "show available fields" so that we can use these fields.

Hi Experts,

To overcome the issue(absent of the Z fields in Configuration) I created Z node with BOL entry.

Now I am able see my Zfields in Z node at configuration.

I added Z fields to UI and I did some coding for event handler.

I am getting an error on browser given below

An exception has occurred 
Exception Class 	CX_BSP_INV_ATTR_NAME - BSP exception: An attribute with the name "ZBTADMINI" is not defined

Hi Sameera,

The package selection in AET is based on the system setting in transaction AXTSYS.

However, in you can also make the package input field editable, to do that you need to activate the "Expert Mode".

Hi Raghu,

Due the introduction of Design Layer in CRM 7.0, most of the application hide the custom fields which are created by EEWB.

In order to make these fields available in UI, you need to set the EEWB fields as visible in Design Layer.
