🇩🇪 Getting started with Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core (Hamburg, Germany)

This SAP CodeJam event is on the topic of Getting started with Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core and Python. You do not need to have any background in the topic, but a lot of curiosity!

In this CodeJam you will learn how to use Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core to implement a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) use case to improve the responses of large language models (LLMs) and reduce hallucinations. You will learn how to deploy an LLM and the orchestration service on SAP AI Core and query it via SAP AI Launchpad and the Python SDK. Furthermore, you will learn about the most important genAI concepts and create and use embeddings to improve your RAG response and build your own chatbot with memory.

This is an in-person event only (not virtual) and is planned for Friday September 26th, 2025 at the SAP office in Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪 from 09:30 - 15:30 local time. The language of the event and the content will be English.

The instructor will be Developer Advocate @noravonthenen.

Prerequisites: Any Chromium-based web browser, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.

I'd like to thank @noravonthenen and @nicoschoenteich for being the host of these to great CodeJams today.
big Thank-YOU also goes out to @christoph_christophersen for, how we call it "anleihern" of these CodeJams.

It was realy impressive for me as an #ABAPDeveloper to enter that world of tokens vectors and prompts.
I am sure these worlds will unite one day. On #Teched 2028 the CTO 🤠 will announce ABAP Native AI integration via some ABAP style wiert interface .... No simple ABAP Classes for sure 😬

I appreciated as well the exchange with all other participants with their vision on the SAP world.
