In this special edition of the ABAP Cloud & RAP CodeJam, we want to address the experienced RAP developer that wants to learn first hand from our experts about the newest features that have been added to the RAP framework with the 2602 and the upcoming 2608 releases including:

The features will be presented upfront so that the participants can decide which feature(s) they want to implement by just using the Develop Applications section of our SAP Online Help.

As said this event is NOT suited for absolute beginners since we expect that the participants have a solid knowledge of ABAP Cloud and the development of RAP business objects. Please do not register if you do not fit within this profile.

This is an in-person event only (not virtual) and is planned for Friday 18th September 2026 in Walldorf from 10:00 - 16:00 CET. The language and content of the event will be in English.

The instructors are Andre Fischer and several colleagues from the ABAP Platform Development Unit. We will provide an SAP BTP ABAP Environment system with the latest 2602 release.

Please be sure to have the LATEST ADT’s installed, both of them, in Eclipse and in VSCode

In addition it is required to have a Github Co-Pilot license available.

A coding agent extension in Visual Studio Code that supports Visual Studio Code's virtual workspace filesystem is required to call MCP tools and read/edit ABAP files.

GitHub Copilot is the the only agent that is currently supported for this task.

We plan to collect feedback for the documentation and materials being used in the hands-on using issues in Github.com, so please create a Github.com account in order to leverage that important feedback channel during the workshop.

Dear André,
Would it be possible to cover a more complex example with an N:M dependency for "Cross-BO with draft scope"? We could not set this up, and the documentation is quite limited.
One-to-many Cross-BO with draft scope works, but it is not a critical business case, such as an agency for travel.
We need product to sales order position (N:M).
