Product Update Recall with MAT quantity '0'

Hello gurus, I have a requirement to define a Product Update Recall for an item MAT with quantity 0 as the part will not be replaced or repaired but just inspected. While creating a Job Order (/DBM/ORDER) related to that recall I have an error which stops me to create the JO because the quantity is missing. I've tried also to use item TEXT as alternative, but Key and Key Description will not be valued. The new error while creating the JO is that 'no short description is maintained'. Would you please provide any suggestion to achieve the requirement of MAT quantity 0? Thanks for your time, Bruno

Hi Bruno,

Yes, the solution is to use the TEXT item type. However the message that you are getting of "no short description maintained" can be resolved.

For the issue you need to ensure that the Info text is maintained in the Recall master at WTYRCL

Also make sure this highlighted configuration is maintained such that the item type TEXT is mapped to G2TX.
