Error opening file in ECC 6.0

Hi,

I am getting error in ECC 6.0 system, with open data set statement.

for the same statement, I am able to work in 4.7 version.

the sy-subrc is always 8 in ECC,

can someone help me here?

Welcome to SDN,

there may be sevral reasons for that.first yu need to check wether you have aurthurized to acces this file because may be in previous version you were aurthirized but while upgrade the system your user id may assign in some other Role.or may be oone of the reason if sy-subrc eq 8, then the file does not exist on the application server.

ust try with this:

OPEN DATASET <Path / filename> FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE...

Look At FM : EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING

For Validation you can use Open dataset Command.
