SAP data archiving

Hi Friends,

Is it risky to practice writing to the archive file and then deleting it in the sap sandbox. I am trying to learn archiving in the client's sandbox system .so if i archive file and delete it, will it delete from the actual database?

Also if you can tell me some variant name and steps to practice for whole archiving process, that would be helpful.

To Archive the date, Transaction SARA is used.
