how to change Change PO IDOC type(ORDERS01) to add a new segment type for tracking no using EKPO-BEDNR.

Hi,

For creating a new segment in the ORDERS01 order type you need to do the following steps:-

1. Create a new Segment in WE31

2. Use WE30 transaction by giving your extension name and then and give the basic type as ORDERS01.

3. You will get the entire IDOC structure of ORDERS01 and then you can add your custom segment as a child segment for any of the existing segment only.

4. Write the piece of code to populate your custom segment in the include ZXM06U02, this part of the MM06E001 project.

5. Create a new project in CMOD and give the above project in it and activate it, that means your custom piece of code is activated and when ever the function module IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS is executed then your piece of code will be executed.

6. In WE82 transaction against your message type you will find ORDERS01 as basic type and then you add your extension in the extension field of the same combination.

7. In WE20 transaction for this outbound interface as you need to add the extension.

8. Then trigger the EDI output from your PO and you will see the custom segment added to your IDOC and the field value as well populated.
