Rename data eliment

Hi,

i have used a data eliment in many database tables,

now i want to rename it. How can i make it renamed.

Venkat,

Rename of data element is not recommanded by SAP its really bad impact to your all reports and object where it is used.

so i would suggest you that just copy this data element into some zelement and use it.

First go to SE11 and do a "where-used" on the data element. Make a copy of the data element to its new name. Then change all the places where the data element was used, to the new name.

This could be a long job.

You cannot rename a DDIC object. What you can do is copy the DDIC object and create a new one.

Follow the below steps to modify the field label of a data element:

1. Go to CMOD

2. In Menu bara select GO TO ->Text Enhancements->Keywords->Change

3. Enter the Data element and then enter

4. Chnage the lable and save it

hi,

you can not rename the dictionary objects. You can delete and recreate them. but that is very bad idea as these objects will be getting used in many reports.

so don change or rename..

if its reqiured then create new and use the new one instead of existing one...
