Is there Length Limit 4 Import or Export parameters while creating a BAPI?

Hi Guys,

I created a Custom BAPI while creating in API method(SWO1) tr code i am getting error like

"Field ZBAPIC -CON is too large to be included in container

Field ZBAPIC -CON is too large to be included in container"

means i am using a 900 character FIELD IN BOTH IMPORT and Tables parameter and when i tried with 250 it didnot gave me any error.

so is there any Limit?

Hi,

Yes - the maximum length of a single field is 255. Otherwise you will get that error.

There's no way around this, except to change the length of the fields in your parameter so they're all <= 255
