U can call from non-sap but u need todo some coding and configurations..

Yes u can call RFC from outside SAP but for that u need to install application specific RFC library. Most of the time non SAP systems called BAPI's (these are also RFC enabled FMs) to communicate with SAP.

HI,

it depends from where you want to call RFC. For e.g if you want to call it from Microsoft.Net you will have to use SAP.Net connector for connection after that you will able to call RFC even you can debug it also from outside SAP. For that you will have to set external break point within that RFC.

For microsoft share point server or biz talk server you will have to provide username,password & server of SAP.
