Object type

What is the Object Type for maintenance view?Also the table name which has this field i.e Object type and its description/text.Just like for Program it is Prog and for table it is TABL.Suitable answers will be rewarded.

Hi Debabrata.

Your question is very core and basic.

But, Recollecting basics in ABAP dictionary, View is an object type of the ABAP dictionary. So, views do not have any object type.

According to my understanding,

Object types in ABAP dictionary are the major components of the dictionary.

Major means without these components the whole concept of database is incomplete.

Object types are the main components which allow the database operations.

In short, they are the buiding blocks of the SAP database operations.

In terms of maintenance views, which is very important object type deals with grouping of user-specific database table information or view in real terms without physically having interraction with the database or having some physical transfer.
