creating a distinct search help

i want to creat a search help based on a table column but i want to distinct the values in this search help - i want that any value return only once! ( for E.G if the value 'XX' appers 4 times in the coulm's table it will appere only once in the search help ) can someone give me a detailed explenation to how i can do that?

i tried to use FM 'f4if_ont_table_value_request' but i was told that this FM is for creating new f4, i know that i need to pass the colum to some FM and to creat search help exit.

try using these fm

F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE

HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE

Use the same FM.

after selecting data to display in ITAB sort it and write

delete adjacent duplicates from ITAB and then pass ITAB to fm
