It is trasaction for SPOOL ADMINSTRATION.

Where u can configure the printer settings.

Hi Ramesh,

The SAP spool system manages its own output devices. This includes mostly printers, but also fax and archiving devices. In order for you to use output devices defined in your operating system from the SAP System, you must define these devices in the SAP spool system.

Before you start defining your output devices, you should plan the architecture of your SAP spool system. See Planning Your SAP Printing Architecture and other sections for information about:

Which strategy we recommend to optimize your printing architecture

Which methods the SAP spool system offers for setting up your printers and fax machines

Defining output devices

After you have planned your SAP spool system, go to the following sections to learn how to:

Connect Output Devices to a Windows System

Connect UNIX Printers to the R/3 System

Connect AS/400 Printers

Define Devices for Frontend Printing

Use Special Printing Functions (for example, bar code and OCR printing).

Hi Ramesh,

SPAD - Spool Administration

In the SAP system, printers are created in transaction SPAD. In the SAP Easy Access Menu, choose Tools >> CCMS >> Spool >> Spool Administration.

SPAD also provides a transport connection in the overview of output devices. Note that the printer definitions in the target system must be reworked, if the definition contains real spool servers.

Hi,

Spool Administration (transaction SPAD).

Unlike the Output Controller (transaction SP01), in which both users and administrators can work, Spool Administration (transaction SPAD) is intended for administrators.

Transactions SP01, SPAD; and the CCMS alert monitoring transaction RZ20.

Scheduling in dialog: transaction SPAD, scheduling as background jobs: transaction SM36

If You have lots of Printer(50) and need to lock them for maintanance yoy can do taht at one go.

Go to Transaction SPAD

Click utilities->For output Device->Export Devices.

SPAD Transaction code is used for SPOOL ADMINISTRATION.

Tools->CCMS->Spool->Spool Administration.

Managing Device and servers which are defined for printing and managed at the Spool Administration.

The Tasks performed:

1. Setting up O/P devices and managing O/P devices.

2. Setting up and managing spool servers.

3. Setting up and managing device types.

4. Setting up and managing management systems.
