SAP can create PDF files but can not read the PDF. Even SAP standard SAP Office outbox also uses external PDF reader to display data. I think this is due to the licencing of PDF. PDF reader is freely available but PDF editor is not, you have to buy user licence for it.

Hope it helps

Fra

Until now, All Spool output were generally generated in OTF format or ABAP List output format.

How to read the Spool file which is in PDF Format?

(After upgrade to ECC 6.0, some W-x forms are getting generated directly as a PDF file in the Spool. so through SP01, I can see PDF file instead of OTF data format)

My final requirement is to send the PDF file to an Application server, but I am facing trouble in reading the PDF Spool file in an internal table.

Program RSTXPDFT4 or FM CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF is not helpful.

Any Suggestion?

Thank you

Krupa
