Hi All,

I am trying to upload a flat file whose each record length is 938 characters. data is getting truncated while uploading into data_tab table of GUI_UPLOAD FM. Any way out to solve this problem ?

Check if the data type of the internal table to which the value is uploaded has length 1000

Hi Salma,

Create a table with lines of required no of characters e.g.1000 characters and fill this table. Then pass it into the FM TABLE_COMPRESS. This returns a table with a width of 255 characters, but is in a compressed format. Then pass this into the FM TABLE_DECOMPRESS (not TABLE_UNCOMPRESS!).

This gives a table which could then be passed into the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. Let me know if you face any problem.
