using the standard function module

Hi all

Can any one suggest me how to use the standard funciton module

CAVC_I_CHANGE_BOM_ITEM_DATA for changing the following fields

pur_group,delvry_day,cost_elem,matl_group,gr_pr_time. This fields are available in BOM_ITEM_DATA structure.

If I pass the data will it be updated

is there any other flags that are to be set for this purpose
