Inflormation message on task bar

Hi folks,

If i dont have any data to show output in my ALV report, i need to display a information message on task bar. I should not display a pop box message. But i need to display it on task bar as information. How can i do this....

describe table itab_final line vl_lines.

if vl_lines LE 0.

message e001(XXX). "<<e for eroor red line.. so change as per ur req

endif.

the message is displaying on pop window. I want to display on task bar.

Try this:

MESSAGE i000(Z09_MESSAGE).

Where z09_message is a class of messages defined in tx se91, and 000 is the message number.

Hi,

Either use

MESSAGE S999(ZZ).

MESSAGE I999(ZZ) DISPLAY LIKE 'S'.

Hi,

Please find the code for the following scenario's :

1. No data found. if you want to terminate the program the use error message as it will be displayed in the task bar.

2. No data found. if you want to stop further processing of the program give a "S" message and use LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING after the message. This will stop the processing od program. It will show your message in the task bar and return to your selection screen.

My scenario is, If my ALV output is empty, means no data to display..it should generate a infoormation message in the task bar, along with the empty ALV output..

Hi Ram,

Please give the message type"S" before you call the function module for ALV Grid field catalog and ALV Grid display. And do not use LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING.

The message has to be typed before calling the FM's for display.

Please let me know in case you require any further information.

I have worked on one such scenario so in case you need any help please paste your code and I will help you out.
