Change System-Language at Runtime

Hello Guru's,

for our international support it is required to change an application (a small knowledge database amongst others) during runtime to different languages (switch between EN, DE, FR should be possible, EN is default). At the moment the user has to log off & on to help calling users in the apropriate language.

Now it should be possible with a button click to change the user specific texts. To be exact it means:

- Change SY-LANGU (for the select of the texts from text tables)

- Let messages (via MESSAGE command) be displayed in a foreign language.

I already tried SET LOCALE LANGUAGE and SET LANGUAGE, which seems to be working for SY-LANGU, but the messages are still displayed in logon language.

Someone can give me a hint on this topic?

Hello gautham,

thanks for your quick response, but I think you misunderstood me (or didn't bother to read my question completly...).

To clarify: All short texts, long texts, titles, data elements messages etc are already translated in the required languages.

I don't think transaction SE63 can help me with my problem.
