SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

Hi,

I am calling FM in update task in BADI.

FM in turn calls FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email notification.

I have passed one parameter commit work = 'X' so that e-mail can be send.

While execution i received a dump stating external commit is not in update task.

Is there any way to send e-mails in FM which is called in update task.

Hi Ganesh,

I think this is a Standard Error that happens with SO_NEW_DOCUMENT... I think there's a SAP Note for this.

Explicit commit work does not work in update task and mostly this is seen and faced in transactions like PA30 PA40 etc... our developer faced it and nothing worked..

we searched on net and found following utility program it is not free but it puts back all SO-672 '"still no entry in queue" messages back in queue and from there our standard process sends them as normal...program can be scheduled in backgroud or can be used as SUBMIT REPORT syntax in update task.. we have scheduled it every half an hour...

We tried this program for single address. It works great. Have you tried sending e-mail using distribution list? We are facing problem using Distribution list. For some reason we see entries on SOST for all the recipients of Distribution list but actual send RSCONN01 sends the first one while giving following error fort the remaining entries.

Internal error: SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exception: 3

Any help on this would be great.

Hi Narayan Tendolkar ,

At my client its working fine for single entry and also for distribution list.Just make sure SOST settings are proper.If possible try to debugg RSCONN01 with the help of technical consultant.This debugging might tell you where exactly the problem is.
