Hello Satish,

Deliveries can be used in different ways.

A very "normal" process is the following:

First of all, there is a customer who gives a sales order (tcode VA01).

After that you can create a delivery (tcode vl01n for single delivery creation; tcode vl10 for multiple delivery creation).

Now you can start "picking". This can be done in different ways. Most sophisticated is using the SAP-Warehouse-Management (WM).

You have to create a transport order (tcode LT03). (Go into the warehouse to storage bin xy).

Now you can confirm the picking (Tcode lt12? im not quit sure).

If you use Warehouse-Management with Handling-Units, you can customize it, that with confirmation of the picking, the delivery is automatically packed.

If you don't have this, you can do the packing in tcode VL02N.

Processes like sending shipping notification (tcode VL71) or transportation plannning (tcode Vt01N) can be used in between.

Finally you post "goods issue".

And finally finally you create the invoice.

Regards Juergen

Hi Satish,

INBOUND DELIVERY

A process of receiving an inbound delivery of goods at a receiving area. This process includes the subsequent putaway and the increase in stock quantity. The inbound delivery process begins with staging the goods at the vendor's shipping point and ends when the goods receipt posting is made by the goods recipient (ship-to party). This operation is represented by the inbound delivery document that is generated with reference to the:

Purchase order

Shipping notification

Customer return

outbound delivery

The process of picking goods, reducing the storage quantity, and shipping the goods. The outbound delivery process begins with goods picking and ends when the goods are delivered to the recipient. This operation is represented by the outbound delivery document that is generated during the following activities:

Goods shipment based on a sales order

Stock transfer order

Goods return to the vendor

PICKING

Picking is a process where we guide the system to take the required goods from warehouse. If Complex warehouse management is implemented the we need to guide the system by specifing storage location-->storage bin etc.

Packing

Packing is primarily the process of assigning delivery items to packaging materials. This produces handling units, which can then in turn be packed in additional packing materials. Multilevel packing is also possible. You can also unpack items from handling units, as well as emptying and deleting the handling units themselves.
