Module pool---Input/output field 'xxxxx' not defined

Hi frens,

This is regarding a module pool programming...

In the flow logic i wanted to add a module PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.

My coding is like.

process on value-request.

field vbeln module value_vbeln.

In The module of the ABAP/4 program i gave F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST function module.

Passed the necessary parameters.Program got executed in the module pool program

Why it is showing error in the flow logic?

Must the name and text match with vbeln in the field atributes..????

Answer is awaited..

is this function used in the module valu_vbeln??

and what do u mean by matching the field and text?

Hi..

f4if_field_value_request is used to get the search help for a particular field.

In the field attributes in the layout of screen painter for any field..

Must i define the name the same as the internal table field.

Post the code where you called F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST.

Chances are the FIELDNAME parameter needs to be in Quotes and in capitol letters.

Is "vbeln" the field name in the dynpro and in the program ?

In F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST did you also give the field name correctly in DYNPROFIELD parameter ?

on the screen do you have a field with name VBELN.

if not find the correct one and use that field.

Vijay, Yes,On the screen in the internal table i have a field called vbeln..

Raymond, on the dynpro the field name is different.It is different from the field declared in the module pool program.

Field name parameters are also given in the quotes.

Hi,

go to your main program and make sure that you have declared the variable. I also faced the same issue but i realized that i had not declared the input field in main program.
