hi all,

this is the runtime error iam getting while i was trying to chane the list disply to alv display.

runtime error :GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED

Field symbol has not yet been assigned.

this is the message iam getting while running hte prog.

can any body help me.

Your fieldcat is not getting generated, thats the reason you getting this error.

can u pls tell me how can i rectify it?

i have made all hte declarations in the data ststements and called the function reuse _alv griddisplay.

pls tell me how to rectify it.

If you are manually building your it_fieldcatalog, it_sort, or it_filter ensure that the field names you provide exactly match the variable names in your it_outtab. I have frequently seen this error and it often relates to a simple misspelled field name.
