      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi gurus.....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In ALV output I dont want the user to change the column width, It should be of fixed length.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried "outputlen"  in the field catlog but does not works&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;how can i achive it?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;good points will be rawarded..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fixing Columns &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Use&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to ensure that certain columns are always displayed even if the user scrolls down, you must fix the columns.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Procedure&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To fix one or more columns, proceed as follows:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Click the right mouse button on the header of the column that is the column furthest to the right of the columns you want to fix. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Choose Fix to column.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To undo a column fix, proceed as follows:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Click the right mouse button on a column header. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Choose Remove fix.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Alternative procedure in full screen mode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In full screen mode, you have the option of activating the function using the menus:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Select the header of the column that is the column furthest to the right of the columns you want to fix. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Choose Settings ® Column ® Fix to column.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To undo a column fix, proceed as follows:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Click the right mouse button on a column header. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Choose Settings ® Column ® Remove fix.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In field catlog u can use FIX_COLUMN.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;	Fix_column (fix column): This parameter is used to fix certain columns in the output. All columns to be fixed must have this flag, starting from the left. If a column without this flag is output, only the columns to the left of this column are fixed. The user can change the column fixing interactively.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;         	       Value set: SPACE, 'X'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;        'X' = column fixed (does not scroll horizontally).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or use alv list display&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jagadish&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Colwidth_optimize (1) TYPE c: This parameter optimizes the length of the different columns in the output. The width of the different col. now depends on the max. Length of the data in the column.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Value set: SPACE, 'X'&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;'X' = optimizes the column width so that all contents are displayed completely.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
