Hi,

Change Pointers technique is based on change documents which trackschanges made to key docs.

Canges made to the key docs are stored in CDHDR and additional change pointers are written to BDCP table.Change pointers use shared master data tool.

Change pointers technique is used to initiate outbound process automatically when master data is created or changed.

RBDMIDOC program is to read change pointer entries and create idoc from change pointers is scheduled to run on periodic basis to execute change pointers for a message type and starts ALE process for distrubuting master data to appropriate destination.

BD61 - Activate Change pointers

BD50- Activate change pointers for message type

Then tables for which change pointers to be set. Here tables are stored as object.

I hope you got the answer in above explaination.

Reward me if helpful..

RamaKrishna C

Thanks for reply

I know the process.

System has created an IDOC using change pointer with message type Wp_plu03, defined already.

Idoc has lot of records for different article, now what i want to know is record created in IDOC is cretaed with which change pointer.

I want to track down that IDOC created for an article is created due to which change pointer. So that i can say that this change has caused the creation IDOC.

The table where the link is there between the change pointer and IDOC number or segement. That is what i need ..??

regards

Sumeet Daga
