well sometimes SAP gets a bit confused when keeping track of 'indexes'. In this context that means that sometimes, for example, already created subroutines can no longer be found when double clicking on statement PERFORM. System will say that subroutine does not yet exit or just can't find it no more. By using this function system will again be able to navigate to the subroutine.

Hi Micky,

Thank you very much for the concept. In this context, can any one explain it in more detail?

Like:

1. Why sometimes SAP gets a bit confused when keeping track of 'indexes'?

2. When we do the 'update navigation index' then what exactly happen in system.

3. Where these indexes are stored?

I am very much interested to understand this concept. I will be grateful if any one sends me any link or any concept to understand it in detail.

Thanks & Regards,

Abhishek Sarkar
