ABAP Parameters label text query

For the given ABAP statement:

PARAMETERS pa_num TYPE i.

The selection screen will display "pa_num" as input field label.

If I want to?

1, Use pa_num as internal variable name

2, Use "Number:" as lable text in selection screen

Could someone help me to point out how to achieve this?

Hii...

when You are in ABAP Editior Click Go to ~~-> Text Elements~~---> and click on Selection texts..

And now you can enter the lable wht ever You and Please do activate it too...

for label texts, go here from your program

Goto -> Text Elements -> Selection texts

you cannot use it directly as an internal variable name, but what you can do is to set that internal variable's value to your parameter in the first line of the code

Open the program in se38 AND you have menu path goto--> textelements -

> Selection Text there you maintain the 'Number'.

it will work.

u can maintain it in selection text ,

go to -

> SE38 -

> give program name----

>select radio button TEXT ELEMENTS -

>Selection Text TAB -

> give name here to ur Parameter .

Goto~~>Text elements~~-->selection texts.

goto se38--~~>select Text elements radio button~~>press change push button and select selection texts andgive the data which u want

HI,

If i am not wrong in your first question you have asked to declare the parameter as an internal program variable... you can do this with a data statement rather than difining it inside selection screen as a parameter.. like

data : pa_num type i.

In this case you wont see this field as input in selection screen.

for ur 2nd question in the change mode of your program in SE38 click on GOTO--->SELECTION TEXT and put the labels as you want to..

HI ,

For the given ABAP statement:

PARAMETERS pa_num TYPE i.

It will display pa_num on selection screen ,

To change this , In the Menu you will find

GOTO --> TEXT ELEMENTS ---> SELECTION TEXTS .

Remove the ' ?... ' and type your desired text 'NUMBER'.

Activate it

But if u want to access that parameter in the program you have to handle it with pa_num only .
