Reg;Longtext truncation

Hi Experts,

Im trying to upload the long text from excel to internal table & then passing the corresponding longtext to the save_text function module to store the longtext values.

But the problem is the tline is of 132 chars,so the longtexts are getting truncated.how to overcome this problem.?

Is there any other datatype for longtexts,i have tried string & char2000.?

Please give some inputs & examples.

Hi,

In case the length i smore than 132 chars you have to truncate the text after every 132 to chars and give input as different lines in the table tline. While storing it will be stored correctly.

Fg : TLINE-TDLINE --- first 132 chars

append TLINE

TLINE-TDLINE --- next 132 chars

append TLINE

and so on.
