can anyone please tell what is the use of global definition and form interface in smartforms.?

Form Interface :

In these u need to declare all the data and tables u need to pass from ur calling report..

Global definitation:

In these u need to declare all the variable which u want inside ur smart form ( for internally use)

Hi,

As we declare variable in ABAP Report, similarly we declare Global variables in Smartforms.

You can access this value from anywhere of the smartform.

To write codes inside smartform,

right click on main window, create>flow logic > Program lines

in form interface...we define the internal tables,workareas and the tables which we are using in that smartform.

in global defenition we declare the gloabal variables,and we define initialization if any in INITIALISATION tab,feild symbols and we write the rotuines here.

System fields and the fields that are defined in the global definitions.

A form interface to transfer the application data to form definition.

The node global settings and its three successors form attributes, form interface and global definitions always exists for any newly created forms.

To describe the form logic, create the hierarchy under the node pages and windows..

All tables, fields and structures passed via the form interface.
