Merging Cells

Hi All,

I have a requirement in which cells in a column need to be merged, just like Merge functionality in Excel.

Is there any way to do this in ALV Grid.

For eg: cell 1 , cell 2, cell 3, in 3 rows, under the column Col A show the same value in ALV Grid. These Cells have to be merged to form a single cell. The value has to be displayed in this merged cell.

Hoping for way out, or atleast some alternative. I will take care of points

Hi Rashmi,

We can merge the cells having the same value under same column just by sorting that column.

Thanks for your reply.

Yah that can be done, but I also want the select checkboxes in the first column of the grid to be merged along with the columns with value.

Sorting does not achieve this.

we have an option called cell_merge(1) type c, in ALV if we give this u vill get ur required output.
