Hello,

I want to update billing block in the items of the order.

I am filling the 2 tables ORDER_ITEM_IN and ORDER_ITEM_INX with lots of POSNRs (and all the required parameters).

I want to execute this bapi once per VBELN.

Everything works fine but can I know which POSNR has not been updated (if there was a problem) ?

The Return table does not give me enough information about this.

Of course, I do not want to parse the text given back from the Return table.

the bapi return will give the required info. There is no other go for this. u need to get from the return table itself.

Hi David,

There is no other way to know which POSNR has not been updated other than from the return table.

If you see the Return table, there are fields like MESSAGE_V1, MESSAGE_V2, PARAMETER etc. I think these fields will definitely have the POSNR number for which the error occured (not updated).

May be you can check them by going to the table "CDHDR" by giving relevant fields and from there going to "CDPOS".

Perhaps the easier way is reading the items after updating it.

You should know which data have to be changed and you should know their value before beeing changed.

So if you run the BAPI with syncronous way after calling BAPI, you can re-read the order in order to see which items are updated.

This solution could be good if you haven't to change many orders in the same session, because the syncronous way should get worse the performance.
