Whoa, what a question. Not that I'm aware of as the table would be so big and so complex, that you would never be able to decifer it. SAP is a totally integrated software package. This means, if something happens on one side of the system, its effects are seen on the other side. The connections between modules are everywhere. I have never seen <b>complete</b> of how the modules tie together. I have seen some documentation of how SD tables are linked together in regard to Sales Documents, but nothing about how it relates to other modules. You can also look at SD11, the data Modeler. This can give you an overview of the database tables of a certain area and how they are linked together, again, may not be across modules.

Once you find a modeling object clickk display and click utilities, Graphic. This will give you a graphic of how the ties are, in some cases it is a bit overwhelming.

Regards,

Rich Heilman

Thanks for the info..

SAP is an ingegrated software package and the changes made on oneside can be seen on the otherside. My doubt it how to track these changes?

if there is a transaction fb01 of fi component, how to know what r all the components have relation with this and what effect may reflect in other components if any changes made to this?

Thanks in advance,

Rgds

Ram sri

1. You can use the 'Where Used List' menu option

2. switch on the SQL trace..

and so on....

Good Luck

Suresh Datti

Ram,

Normally when documents are created in one module because the data flew from from some other module, then SAP keeps that information in the document itself in the form of reference procedure, reference document & item and reference organiztion.

The following are some examples.

Table BKPF fields AWTYP AWKEY

Table COBK fields REFBT REFBN

Some tmes there is also an exclusive table for doc flow like VBFA ( sales document flow)

Thanks for all your information and clarifications.

As we all know sap is an integrated packaged with several modules. Is there any way to findout the linkage between these modules like how they are integrated?

If some changes are done in one module how they will reflect in other module? Is there any std. program or function module doing this??

Rgds,

Ram

The integration between modules is not one table or is not something hardcoded or in some tables. It is a combination of all of them plus configuration. I don't this there is one single answer for this. In order to understand the integration between the modules, you have to understand how each of the business functions work with each other and how doing one leads to another. For instance you do a PGI of a delivery in SD, then the inventory of the corresponding material will be decreased in the MM module and may be some GL accounts will be updated for the cost of inventory or cost of sales etc.

I can go on and on without answering it in one sentence, but I think you should have got the picture by now.

Srinivas
