search help problem

hi,

I have a screen with a screen field for Unit of measure (MSEG-ERFME), possible vales is not coming if i press F4 but still have the F4 round Button,

So I put the standard Search help - EHS00_UNIT in the field Attribute, when i execute in Screen Painter Se51 the possible values are coming, If i press F4 in the screen-field via the respective tranaction code the F4 help is not coming.

Note: Screen field is not in table control, it is a sperate one and i am reffering the standard field MSEG-ERFME.

Hi prabhu,

I've tried just now as follows.

first i created one module pool program .

in that i've taken one screen and inthe layout i clicked on F6 to get the dictionary from the database.

and i provided MSEG-ERFME and i taken on the screen and activated.

And created a transaction and saved it and i executed .

the output is working fine i'm getting the f4 functionality

ie: possible input values are coming when i clicked on f4.

I think that u gone mistake on activation.

Plz activate all the screens,

i'm sure then u r code will work.

Hi,

There is no need of creating any search help in this case as you are reffering to a Standard field from table MSEG-ERFME.

You will get F4 help automatically when you refer that field from this table as the value table assigned would be T006.

hi,

I found that when i remove the PF-STATUS the F4 help is getting triggered.

Please explain me how this both related.

Are you sure you kept the cursor on the field and pressed "F4" button?

Hi ,

I am facing a similar problem. I added search help attribute. It s working fine in SE51, when i execute via the Tcode it is not as expected. Wat is the correction u did?
