A problem of modify table in database!

hi!

There is two dataelements as follow:

dataelement / type / length / decimals

ZDUNIT_PRICE / DEC / 13 / 0

ZDBPRICE / CURR / 13 / 2

i modify a fields(ZDUNIT_PRICE) dataelement from ZDUNIT_PRICE to ZDBPRICE in table(ZD39T), when active it, pop a error as followF

Check table ZD39T

ZD39T-ZDUNIT_PRICE(specify reference table AND reference field)

Field ZDUNIT_PRICE: Decimal change

ALTER TABLE is not possible

Structure change at field level (convert table ZD39T)

Check on table ZD39T resulted in errors

How to specify reference table?

or It's the other error.

seeking help in solve it.

you need to provide reference table ,ref field for currency.

that is the problem..

Hi Jim William,

I cannot access the table ZD39T. But what i think about the problem is the table you are changing is a check table i.e. Primary key table. So you must find all the secondary tables which uses the field zdunit_price. So find the secondary table which is using the field zdunit_price.

You can find the secondary table by following these steps.

1. goto tcode:se11 give ur table name.

2. after the fields tab you can find the entry help/check.

3. click that.

4. corresponding to the check table column and your field name there will be a table. That's your check table.

Remove the check table and change the domain/data element you want.

After that again add the check table.
