Difference between Transport task CORRECTION/DEVELOPMENT and REPAIR

Hi,

What is the difference between tasks CORRECTION/DEVELOPMENT and REPAIR. Currently I have been assigned REPAIR task under a transport by basis team and this repair task already has 2 ABAP programs and I am not able to add another program to make changes into it. Is it due to REPAIR type?

It is giving error - No suitable task available under request

Hi,

Correction/Development task is used when you change an object that originates in you current system, a Repair is used for an object the was originally created in another system (either SAP or another system in your landscape)

The two programs already in the transport werre not created originally in your system, the program you're trying to add to the transport was.

Hi.

If the current system is the original system of the object, the object will be assigned to a task of the type correction.

If the current system is not the original system of the object, the object will be assigned to a task of the type repair.

-->Objects are entered in a development/correction when you edit them in their original system. Generally, this is the system in which the objects were originally created.

-->Objects are entered in a repair when you change them in a system other than their original system. This applies to all modifications to SAP standard objects.

Any changes to an sap object in a custormer sym require a repair task in change request in the workbench orgzer..correction
